Player Commands

The words at the top of this table are typed as ordinary Local chat — no / prefix, just the word itself, like walking up to an NPC and saying it aloud. They're deliberately case-insensitive and still show up in your chat log as something you said. Global and Guild chat never trigger them — only Local, since every one of them is "spoken" to whoever (or whatever) is actually standing next to you. The ones further down that start with a / are commands rather than speech: nobody hears them, and each row says where it works.

👻
None of these work from inside a dungeon — you're standing in a monster-infested ruin, not a town. Res is the one deliberate exception, since it's exactly what you need right after dying in one. Crafting gumps (Blacksmithing/Carpentry/Tinkering/Alchemy/Tailoring) aren't chat commands at all anymore — double-click the required tool instead (see Tinkering), which works in a dungeon too.
⌨
Any of these can live on a key. Options → Hotkeys → Speech lets you write up to eight phrases — Stable, Mage, Healer, Res, or anything you'd type — and bind each one to a key that says it in Local chat for you. It is really said, so the same rules apply as typing it, and the room hears you. The Bank and the Quest Journal have keys of their own under Windows in the same tab, and the Action Dock's tiles show whatever you have bound.
SayWhereWhat it does
Bank Any town, Local chat Opens your bank box. Not tied to a specific banker NPC — accounts are shared across every town, so this works anywhere.
Bank Check 500 Any town, Local chat Withdraws 500 gold from your bank as a single carryable Bank Check, rather than loose Gold Piles.
Bank Withdraw 500 Any town, Local chat Withdraws 500 gold from your bank as a Gold Pile.
Stable A town with a Stable Master, Local chat Opens the Stable gump to browse and buy mounts.
Provisioner Britain, Local chat Opens the Provisioner gump — House Placement Deeds, the Iron Skinning Knife, and (once) the free starter tool kit.
Mage Any town, Local chat Opens the Mage Shop gump — buy a Spellbook, a Reagent Bag, and reagents.
Healer Britain, Local chat Opens the Healer Shop gump to buy bandages.
Res Anywhere, Local chat Self-resurrects if you're currently dead. Silently does nothing otherwise.
Bind Offering Any town, Local chat Sacrifices every identified, magical item in your backpack to your Virtue Binding for Virtue Points. See the Virtue Binding page for what those points buy.
/trade PlayerName Local chat, or right-click their name in the log Sends a trade request to another player in the same location.
/journal Local chat Opens the Quest Journal — the starter lines, the Cloak of the Hourglass they lead to, wanderers' jobs and the trackers. The Quests tile on the Action Dock says it for you.
/tutorial Any chat tab, anywhere Replays the Interface Tour: a two-minute walk around the screen that spotlights every panel in turn and opens the Quest Journal on the cloak. Also under Help → Interface Tour. Desktop only — the phone view points you at the Getting Started guide instead.
/g Hello Any chat tab Says one line in Guild without leaving the tab you're on. The same works for every channel — /local (or /l, /say, /s), /global (/gl, /world), /guild (/g) and /party (/p) — and what follows the word is what gets said. Local's own trigger words still work through it, so "/l bank" opens your bank box from the Global tab.
/guild Any chat tab The same words with nothing after them point the input box at that channel instead of sending anything. On the All tab that's how you talk to one channel while watching them all; on a channel tab it just switches you to it. Say "/local" to point it back.
/discord Any chat tab, anywhere — even mid-journey Opens the Discord linking window. Linking marks your account verified, with the verified mark beside your name in chat.
/discorddismiss Any chat tab, anywhere Turns off the once-a-day reminder an unverified account gets in the Journal. Permanent — /discord itself keeps working whenever you change your mind.
